Lights, Camera, Rankings - The Belt (Week 33)

Oscar? Who gives a shit about an Oscar! It's all about a Championship Belt (specifically the fake one we give out each week), baby, and we are back to see if any new movie will obtain the belt. This week's candidates were as follows: The Hitman's Bodyguard, Logan Lucky, Patti Cake$ and All Saints.

@JeffDLowe: The only film that had a shot at dethroning 'Logan' for me was ironically called 'Logan Lucky.' A pretty solid film, a great action-comedy-heist story and deserving of the nickname "7-Ocean's 11," but it really couldn't come close to 'Logan.' We are starting to near the point of the year where the film is going to be able to challenge this great Wolverine film from February. There are a few I have my sights on, but 96/100 would have been good for my #1 movie last year so it will be hard to beat.
VERDICT: 'Logan' keeps the Belt for the 25th consecutive week

@BarstoolKenJac: I agree with Jeff in that the only thing this week that looks like it stands a chance is Logan Lucky. So far nothing has come close to taking the belt from The Big Sick which remains one of the best dramedies I have ever seen. The absolute PERFECT date movie.
VERDICT: TBS stays skronnnnnng

VERDICT: 'Get Out' keeps the belt for the 26th consecutive week

Well, shit, this is getting boring. But as stated above, there will be some great films coming out in the next few months so this could get interesting. Reminder to vote on Sunday (the next vote isn't until September) to see if any of the movies from this week beat 'Get Out.'

The next candidates, which will come out the week of September 3rd through 9th, are as follows: It, Home Again, 9/11, The Good Catholic and Brad's Status.

All of the voting can be found here online and at @LightsCameraPod on twitter. Make sure to tweet us your thoughts and opinions.
